We invite you to visit soon.

We meet Sunday mornings at 10 AM for Sunday School, 11 AM for Worship.  We are located at 171 Salem Ave. in New Castle, VA.

On Mondays, we have Men's and Women's Bible Studies at 6:30 PM.

On Wednesdays we welcome our Youth (13-18), and Bible Buddies ( ages 3-12) for an evening of Food, Fun, Faith and Fellowship at 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Kids can attend Wednesday meetings whether they come Sunday or not. All children are supervised in a safe, secure environment that they love!  We regularly host 40-50 kids here!  Come check it out!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at website@cv-bc.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our regular Sunday morning Worship service time is at 11:00 AM,  Bible Buddies are on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.

We fellowship with the SBCV—a group of over 900 conservative, Virginia-based Bible-believing churches who share a love for our Savior, a mission to spread His message and love, and a heart to love our neighbors.

SBCV stands for Southern Baptist Churches of Virginia.  The SBCV is a conservative group.  We believe in the inerrancy of the Bible as it was recorded in the original languages of Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic.  A more detailed description of our beliefs can be found online at https://bfm.sbc.net/bfm2000/

The Southern Baptists are the largest (non-Catholic) denomination in the USA with some 47,000 congregations.

We have a community Food Pantry in conjunction with Feeding Virginia (we are the local office) and the SBCV (our denomination).  We provide free bags of food to those in need.  Come to our office door on Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings from 9 AM - 12 noon to request food.

There is no financial qualification, we only need your name and address and phone in case of a food recall.

Yes indeed!  Please see any usher or greeter (they have name tags), and they will gladly provide one to you.

No, the only thing we ask is that you dress modestly. We want our focus to be on the things of God, not of men or women.  You can come in jeans, nice t-shirts (no obscene graphics, please), shorts, sandals, etc., or a three-piece suit!  We are just glad when you show up!

Yes, we have recently installed a new handicapped-accessible restroom, with a changing table and nice chair for mother's who need to take care of their baby. It is located in our foyer, just inside the front door.  Those with strollers, rollators, or wheelchairs can access most areas of the church easily.

There is free parking at the side of the church.  If that lot is full, there are additional areas, some in the grass, in back.  We have handicapped spaces next to our new handicapped ramp that will lead you into the sanctuary.  We also have a dedicated space for visitors parking near the front.

You can access the first level of our fellowship/classroom building without steps, where there are also handicapped restrooms on the level just outside the fellowship hall entrance.

If you are careful crossing the road, you can also park across the street at the town park.

Our Wednesday night programs are awesome!   FOOD, FUN, FAITH & FELLOWSHIP!

Our Bible Buddies program, now ongoing for more than 30 years, is for ages 3 (if toilet trained) up to 12.  Both Youth and Bible Buddies are provided with an evening meal when they come.

Our Bible Buddies director is a trained teacher, Ms. Julie Welch, who has a staff of trained voluteers to help her.

Youth are generally ages 13 to 18, but if they are still in school at 19 they can attend, as well as during the summer after they graduate.  Youth meet upstairs in our educational building, where they are led by Deacon and Mrs. Rick (Zeke) and Donna Francisco.

If your child has any special dietary requirements, please let a member of our staff know.

    SUMMER CAMP

We also sponsor kids to attend Camp Eagle in the summer months.

Yes! Our children's department has a special set of restrooms just for kids, which have smaller, easier-to-access facilities. When kids need to use the restroom during Sunday school, VBS, or Bible Buddies, they are escorted by an adult lady from our church who will wait for them outside the door.

We take safety and security protocols seriously.

Two members of our deacons are retired law enforcement officers.  Others assist them as needed.

In the area of first aid, we have 4 nurses in our congregation and one EMT/Paramedic who is on the Rescue Squad.  Many of us have recently received CPR training and certification. We have an AED device on the premises in the case of heart failure, we have two LIFEVAC devices in the case of choking (one is smaller for children) and an updated trauma kit is also on the premises.  We are also located very close to the Rescue Squad, Fire Department, and Sheriff's office.

We have installed security cameras across our property, and all exterior doors are securely locked with high-security systems when not in use or during services.  The front door is unlocked but monitored during services.

We take your security seriously, and we take the security of your kids even more seriously!   Plus, we know how to pray and ask God for Angels to watch over us all!  (They do, too!)

Absolutely not!  In fact, we ask our guests NOT to give unless they really are led to by God.

Our members and regular attendees faithfully support the work of our church.

If you decide to become a regular part of our fellowship, we hope that you will begin to share your financial blessings through our church so that we can in turn continue the important work God has called us to do, including supporting many in our community with food, warm coats, spiritual guidance, and much more.

We believe this.... It is MORE BLESSED to give, than to receive.

We pass out visitor cards on your first visit simply so we can learn your name and send you a note thanking you for attending.  We promise not to annoy you or share your info with anyone else.

We also are happy to pray with you or for you as you request.  If you have a need, spiritual or physical, please feel free to contact our church office, or see any Deacon (they have name tags) or the Pastor.

It's simple!  We want our visitors to know who we are and what role we have on Sundays.   It's often easier for folks to see the name - especially if the room is noisy.   It also makes it easier to learn names for at least a few folks so you will be more comfortable getting to know us.

We only provide winter coats at our fall giveaway; if you need clothing otherwise, please go to our neighboring church at Cornerstone COGOP, 498 Salem Ave in New Castle.  They are open on Saturday morning and Mondays.

Yes, we have a professional crew that comes weekly to clean and sanitize the entire church.

As the old saying goes, ,"Cleanliness is next to Godliness!"*

*This is not in the Bible, just a nice saying!
